Replace the Air Compressor
The air compressor assembly weighs approximately 40 pounds (approximately 17
kilograms). Two persons must carry the unit. When lifting the air compressor, lift with
your legs, not with your back, to prevent injury. Failure to do so may result in back injury.
Always turn the compressor off and bleed the pressure from the hose and tank before performing
maintenance or attaching tools and accessories. See TM 10-3510-226-10, WP 0012 00 to bleed
the compressor. The compressor can propel dirt, chips, and loose particles at high speed. Failure
to comply may result in serious injury to personnel.
1. Remove the screws retaining the air compressor (Figure 4, Item 5) to the base plate (Figure 4, Item
6) and remove the air compressor.
2. Install the replacement air compressor (Figure 4, Item 5) onto the base plate (Figure 4, Item 6) and
retain with screws.
