purge button. Listen for an
audible hiss as air vents
through the mouthpiece. The
sound should cease
immediately when purge
button is released. If vented
air does not stop
immediately, depress purge
button 3 or 4 more times. If
vented air stops, proceed
with inspection.
Vented air does
not stop or no
audible hiss is
heard when
purge button is
depressed.
