of 5/]. Refer to Table 27-15 for lengths.
1/ The fabric used for all pockets, patrol pack, and Main Pack shall be textured nylon duck coated on the back side with clear polyurethane
and shall be water repellent treated in the Woodland camouflage pattern. The fabric shall weight 11.0 to 12.0 ounces per square yard and
have a minimum breaking strength of 500 pounds warp and 300 pounds filling. The four colors of Woodland camouflage are: Light Green 354,
Dark Green 355, Brown 356 and Black 357. The ground shade should approximate Light Green 354.
2/ The 1-inch tape for binding, shall weight not more than 0.30 ounces per linear yard and a breaking strength of 525 pounds minimum and an
elongation of 18 percent minimum. The color of the tape shall be Green 483 or equal and shall show fastness to laundering and light equal to
or better than a rating of "good".
3/ The thread used for bartacks and binding tape shall be treated with approved water repellent finish (see 6.7) at size tex no. 68 (nominal)
(formerly identified as Size E) at 9.0 lb min breaking strength and length per pound at 5,800-8,700 yds.
4/ All 1 ½ inch in width webbing shall have a thickness of .036(min), yarn count (min.) 145 warp, 48 fill or 96 (shuttleless), 34 binders, weight
1.07 oz per ln yard (min), Break strength 1800 lb (min), Color CG 483
5/ The 2-inch webbing used on the 40mm grenade pocket flaps shall be 2 +/- 1/32 inch width, thickness .030-.040, yarn count (min) 389 warp,
48 fill or 96 (shuttleless), 32 binders, weight 1.0 oz per lin yd (min), breaking strength 1800 lb (min), color CG 483.
The 2-inch webbing for the waist belt shall conform to Bally Ribbon Mills Style No 2452 or equal. The color of the webbing shall be camouflage
green 483. For Spectral Reflectance requirements see Table IV of PR97-03-12.
6/ The 1-inch webbing shall be made from textured yarn and shall weigh a minimum of 0.5 ounces per linear yard and have a breaking
strength of 1000 pounds minimum. The color shall be Camouflage Green 483 or equal. The dyed webbing shall show fastness to light and
laundering equal to or better than a rating of "good". The dyed webbing shall show fastness to crocking and have an AATCC Chromatic
Transference Scale rating of not lower than 3.5. Testing shall be as specified in 4.3.4 of PR97-03-12.
7/ The elastic webbing shall be 1-inch wide and shall weigh not more than 0.53 ounces per linear yard and have a load range at room
temperature to produce 50 percent elongation of 1.80 to 5.00 pounds. After the webbing has been elongated and maintained at 50 percent
elongation for 10 minutes and then allowed to relax for 10 minutes, the webbing tension set shall be not more than 5 percent. The color of the
