b. Disassembly.
(1)
Tumbler Cylinder Assembly
(a)
Remove the bolt (1, Fig. 3-17)
securing the door handle (2) to the cylinder door (8).
(b)
Remove the pin (3) screw (4)
lockwasher (5) retaining clip (6) and hinge pin (7)
securing the cylinder door (8) to the front shell (13)
(c)
Remove nut (9) screw (10) and
lockwasher (11) securing the shell ring (12) and front
cylinder shell (13) to the cylinder
(d)
Remove the oil cups (14) and
(15) stud (16) and nut (17) from the trunnion housing

(e)
Remove the bolts (18) and
lockwashers (19) securing the trunnion cap (20) to the
trunnion housing.
(f)
Remove
the
bolts
(21)
lockwashers (22) and flatwashers (23) securing the
trunnion housing (24) to the cylinder shell.
(g)
Remove screws (25) securing
the lockplate (26) bearing retainer (27) and bearing (28)
to the weldment spider.
(h)
Remove the snap ring (29)
securing the trunnion spacer (30) and collar (31) to the
weldment spider.
(i)
Pull
the
sproket
(32)
and
bearing (33) and grease seal (34) from the weldment
spider.
(j)
Remove the key (35)
(k)
Remove the cylinder (36) from
the shell (37).
(l)
Remove
nuts
(37)
and
lockwashers (41) and bolts (42) securing the tie rods
(39).
(m)
Remove nuts (40) , lockwashers
(41) and bolts (42) securing the weldment spider (43).
(n)
Remove nuts (44), lockwashers
(45) and bolts (46) and bolts (46) and remove the
cylinder shell (47) from the base assembly.
