REMOVAL
WARNING
Thermal fluid can reach temperatures near 400 degrees F when the heating system is
operating. Allow thermal fluid and heating system piping to cool prior to performing
maintenance. Always wear gloves and eye protection. Failure to follow this precaution
could result in severe personal burn injuries.
1. Place clean container under drain valves (1, 2 and 3).
2. Close isolation valves (4 through 9).
3. Open drain valves (1, 2, and 3). Allow thermal fluid to drain then close drain valves.
4. Place second container under inlet hose (10) and outlet hose (11).
5. Disconnect inlet hose (10) as follows:
a. Remove two screws (12), lock washers (13), and nuts (14) then remove clamp (15).
b. Pull inlet hose (10) off of heater piping (16) then position to allow thermal fluid to drain into container.
c. Remove two screws (17), lock washers (18), and nuts (19) then remove clamp (20).
d. Pull inlet hose (10) off of heat exchanger (21).
6. Disconnect outlet hose (11) as follows:
a. Remove two screws (22), lock washers (23), and nuts (24) then remove clamp (25).
b. Pull outlet hose (11) off of heater piping (16) then position allow thermal fluid to drain into container.
c. Remove two screws (26), lock washers (27), and nuts (28) then remove clamp (29).
d. Pull outlet hose (11) off of heat exchanger (21).
7. Remove gaskets (30) from inlet hose (10) and outlet hose (11).
8. Remove dryer inlet screen (31).
