INSTALLATION
CAUTION
Be careful when installing heat exchanger not to damage fins. Bent fins will reduce the
heating efficiency of the heat exchanger.
1. Insert heat exchanger (21) into inlet duct (34). Install, but do not tighten, eight screws (32), flat washers (35),
and nuts (36).
2. Side screen retainers (33) between heat exchanger (21) and inlet duct (34) then tighten eight screws (32).
3. Install dryer inlet screen (31).
4. Apply a light coat of clean thermal fluid to new gaskets (30).
5. Connect outlet hose (11) as follows:
a. Install new gasket (30) on outlet hose (11) then mate hose with heat exchanger (21).
b. Install clamp (29) then secure with two screws (26), lock washers (27), and nuts (28).
c. Install new gasket (30) on outlet hose (11) then mate hose with heater piping (16).
d. Install clamp (25) then secure with two screws (22), lock washers (23), and nuts (24).
6. Connect inlet hose (10) as follows:
a. Install new gasket (30) on inlet hose (10) then mate hose with heat exchanger (21).
b. Install clamp (20) then secure with two screws (17), lock washers (18), and nuts (19).
c. Install new gasket (30) on inlet hose (10) then mate hose with heater piping (16).
d. Install clamp (15) then secure with two screws (12), lock washers (13), and nuts (14).
