Cleaning.
WARNING
Clean all parts in a well-ventilated
area. Avoid inhalation of solvent
fumes and prolonged exposure of
skin to cleaning solvent. Wash
exposed
skin
thoroughly.
Dry
cleaning solvent (Fed. Spec. P-D-
680) used to clean parts is potentially
dangerous
to
personnel
and
property. Do not use near open
flame or excessive heat. Flash point
of solvent is 100 10 138° F. (38 to
59o C).
(1)
Clean the bearings in clean engine oil.
(2)
Clean all electrical parts with dry
compressed air and a clean cloth.
(3)
Clean the outer housing and other
metal parts with cleaning solvent, Fed. Spec. P-D-680,
and dry thoroughly.
d.
Inspection and Repair.
(1)
Inspect all bearings for nicks, burrs
and wear.
(2)
Inspect all other parts for wear and
damage.
(3)
Replace damaged and/or worn parts.

Assembly.
(1)
Install the bearings (4 and 6, fig. 3-
11) and spring (5) onto the armature (7) shaft.
(2)
Install the armature unit into the
housing (3).
(3)
Install the end cap (2) and secure with
bolts (1).
f.
Installation. Refer to paragraph 3-6, figure
3-10 and install the blower motor onto the blower.
3-8. Tumbler Fuel Pump
a.
Removal.
(1) Disconnect the fuel lines (1, fig. 3-12).
(2) Remove the elbows (2 and 3), coupling (4) and
nipple (5).
(3) Remove the reducer (6) and nipple (7).
(4) Remove the adapter (8).
