Needle and thread removed (para. 2-8).
Materials/Parts:
Rag, wiping (Appendix F, Item 2)
Removal.
(1)
Remove two screws (1).
(2)
Remove thread guard (3) and lever guard (2).
Cleaning.
Clean parts using a clean, dry wiping rag (Appendix F, Item 2).
Inspection.
(1)
Inspect hardware for damage.
(2)
Inspect thread guard for damage and burrs.
(3)
Inspect lever guard for damage.
