point.
b. Remove grips and inspect
bayonet for rust.
c. Inspect grips for cracks.
d. Check function of lock-
release levers.
e. Place bayonet on rifle
bayonet lug. Ensure bayonet
is securely retained and
mounts/dismounts without
interference.
f. Apply light film of lubricant
to metal components.

fabric.
b. Check function of snaps.
c. Ensure that scabbard re-
straining lace is present.
d. Apply light film of lubricant
to metal components.
