Disassembly. Refer to the following
paragraphs for the removal and disassembly of washer-
extractor parts and components.

Cleaning.
WARNING
Clean all parts in a well-ventilated
area. Avoid inhalation of solvent
fumes and prolonged exposure of
skin to cleaning solvent. Wash
exposed
skin
thoroughly.
Dry
cleaning solvent (Fed. Spec. P-D-680)
used to clean parts is potentially
dangerous
to
personnel
and
property. Do not use near open
flame or excessive heat. Flash point
of solvent is 100 to 138F. (38 to 59C.).
Clean the metal parts with cleaning solvent, Fed.
Spec. P-D-680 and dry thoroughly.

Removal and Disassembly.
(1)
Remove the cotter pins (1 and 4, fig.
7-3), washers (2 and 5) and pins (3 and 6) and remove
the door latch link (7).
(2)
Remove the stud (8) and remove the
washer door handle (9).
(3)
Remove the rivets (101 and remove
the door handle support (11).
(4)
Remove the stud (12) and remove the
door lock catch (13).
(5)
Remove the rivets (14) and remove
the door lock support (15).
(6)
Remove
the
screws
(16)
and
lockwashers (17) and remove the lock clamping cylinder
(18).
(7)
Disconnect all conduit, remove the
elbow (19) and locknut (20) from the sensitive switch
(23).

Remove
