2-35. WATER HEATER ELECTRIC CONTROL ASSEMBLY (CONT)
SERVICE
1.
Open control box cover and wipe flat surfaces with a dry cloth.
WARNING
Compressed air used for cleaning purposes will not exceed 30 psi (207 kPa). Use
only with effective chip-guarding and personal protective equipment (goggles,
shield, gloves, etc.).
2.
Use compressed air and remove dust and contaminants from inside box.
REPAIR
1.
Repair by replacing ignition transformer.
a.
Remove ignition transformer as follows:
(1)
Turn off load limit switch (1) then turn off water heater breaker switch at main power panel.
