Inspect each component and wire for burns or breaks and replace defective items.
7.
Check continuity of timer, drum motor, reversing motor, and transformers. Replace defective items.
8.
Inspect terminal strips for corrosion, loose screws, frayed wires, and insulation breaks.
SERVICE
WARNING
Compressed air used for cleaning purposes will not exceed 30 psi (207 kPa). Use only with
effective chip-guarding and personal-protective equipment (goggles, shield, gloves, etc.).
1.
Clean interior of controller with compressed air.
2.
Wipe exterior of controller with a damp cloth (Item 3, App C).
3.
Refer to LO 10-3510-209-12 for lubrication of the controller.
WARNING
Dry-cleaning solvent P-D-680 is toxic and flammable. Wear protective goggles and
gloves and use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and
clothes and don't breathe vapors. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat.
The flash point is 100-138° F (38-59° C). If you become dizzy while using cleaning
solvent, get fresh air immediately and get medical aid. If contact with eyes is
made, wash your eyes with water and get medical aid immediately.
4.
Clean metal parts with dry-cleaning solvent (Item 10, App C).
5.
Clean electrical parts with dry compressed air and a clean, dry cloth.
