K. Raise and Secure Platform -- Continued
CAUTION
Stow bars must be retracted prior to raising platform. Failure to follow this precaution
may result in damage to platform locking components.
8. Pivot hasps (19) then lift and turn handles (20) until stow bars (21) retract.
WARNING
Verify that all personnel remain clear of platform while it is being raise. Failure to
follow this precaution can cause severe personnel injury or death.
9. Use winch (2) to raise platform (7) until stow bars (21) are aligned with stow brackets (22).
WARNING
Platform must be secured before movement. Improper stowage of platform could
result in platform extending during transport. Failure to follow this precaution may
cause damage to platform and/or result in serious injury or death to personnel
involved with movement and handling of LADS.
10. Lock platform (7) to ISO frame (23) as follows:
a. Turn handle (20) until stow bar (21) extends into stow bracket (22).
b. Insert handle (20) into retainer (24).
c. Pivot hasp (19) over top of handle (20).
d. Repeat step a through c to lock other end of platform (7).
11. Use winch (2) to pull cable (3) taught. Remove winch handle (1) and stow in tool box.
