TYPICAL TANK NOT EMPTYING -- Continued

7. Verify drum outlet valve is closed.
Is valve closed?
YES Go to step 8.
NO Go TYPICAL WATER CONTROL VALVE NOT OPENING/CLOSING FAULT (WP 0047 00).
8. Verify inlet valve on suspect tank is closed.
Is valve closed?
YES Go to step 9.
NO Go TYPICAL WATER CONTROL VALVE NOT OPENING/CLOSING FAULT (WP 0047 00).
9. Use maintenance menu to examine water level in suspect tank. Record water level.
10. Remove cap from drain port suction manifold for suspect tank. Allow 5 to 6 gallons of water to drain then
close petcock.
11. Use maintenance menu to open outlet valve at suspect tank.
12. Use maintenance menu to examine water level in suspect tank. Record water level.
Is water level recorded at least 2 to 3 gallons less than level recorded in step 9?
YES Return to normal operation.
NO Go step 13.
13. Disconnect air tube from level sensor for suspect tank.
Does display read approximately 0 gallons.
YES Go to step 14.
NO Reconnect tube to level sensor. Go to TYPICAL LT FAILURE (WP 0033 00).
14. Disconnect air tube from barb fitting on suspect tank level tube.
15. Disconnect air tube labeled FV107AE from top row of solenoid valves on side of main control enclosure.
16. Connect a piece of 1/4 inch tubing between barb fitting on tank level tube and exhaust port on solenoid
valve SV107A.
CAUTION
Tube previously disconnected from level sensor must remain disconnected prior to
pressurizing tank level tube. Applying high pressure to level sensor will cause permanent
damage.
17. Using maintenance menu open valve FV107A for about 5 seconds then close valve.
18. Disconnect 1/4 tubing from solenoid valve SV107B and level tube.
19. Reconnect system tubing at solenoid valve SV107B, level tube, and level sensor.
20. Use maintenance menu to examine water level in suspect tank. Record water level.
Is water level recorded at least less than level recorded in step 9?
YES Return to normal operation.
NO Go to TYPICAL LT FAILURE (WP 0033 00).
