INSTALLATION
NOTE
Steps 11 thru 14 apply to drum A only.
1. Remove front jam nut (18) from new sensor (15).
2. Insert sensor into mounting bracket (19) then reinstall front jam nut (18).
3. Adjust position of sensor on mounting bracket (19) to achieve previously recorded gap between tip of sensor
(15) and spoke (17).
4. Tighten jam nuts (18 and 20).
5. Verify gap between tip of sensor (15) and all six spokes (17) is 1/4 to 3/8 inches as follows:
a. Rotate drum sheave (16) until next spoke (17) is aligned with tip of sensor (15).
b. Measure and record gap between tip of sensor (15) and spoke (17).
c. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for five remaining spokes (17).
6. If gap is within range for all six locations proceed to step 8, otherwise continue to step 7.
7. Loosen jam nuts (18 and 20) then adjust position of sensor (15) until correct gap is obtained at all six spokes
(17).
8. Connect electrical connector (14) to sensor (15).
9. Install front belt guard (12) onto rear belt guard (13), then secure with seven screws (10) and lock washers
(11).
10. Install pipe (9) then tighten unions (7) and (8).
11. Install pipe (6) then tighten unions (4) and (5).
12. Connect water supply line (3).
13. Plug water supply pump (1) into junction box (2).
14. Verify correct operation as follows:
a. Use maintenance menu to access examine inputs function (WP 0010 00).
b. Pull out on handle (21) and open door (22).
c. Rotate basket (23) while monitoring ZS102.
d. Ensure indication is ON when each spoke (17) passes over tip of sensor (15) and is OFF at all other
times.
e. Close door (22) and engage handle (21).
f. Run a test laundry cycle (TM 10--351--221--10). Verify smooth rotation of drum. Check for water leaks at
connections on pipes (6 and 9).
