WARNING
Transformer Cover removed (Para 2-56)
Voltage in this equipment is high enough to cause
serious injury or death. Do not perform this task
with power on.
a.
REMOVAL
(1)
Tag and disconnect solenoid wires in transformer box.
(2)
Disconnect conduit (11) at transformer box.
(3)
Remove two screws (1) and lockwasher (2).
(4)
Remove solenoid (3) (including wires) from bracket (10).
(5)
Remove elbow (4) and gasket (5) from solenoid (3).
(6)
Remove elbows (6 and 7).
(7)
Remove connector (8) and elbow (6) from valve (9).

INSTALLATION
(1)
Apply antiseize compound to threads of elbows (6 and 7) and install on solenoid valve (3).
(2)
Apply antiseize compound to all male fittings and install elbow (6) and connector (8) on shutoff valve (9).
(3)
Connect elbow (6) to solenoid (3).
(4)
Position solenoid (3) on bracket (10) and secure with two lockwashers (2) and screws (1).
(5)
Position gasket (5) and elbow (4) on solenoid (3).
NOTE
Wire numbers are stamped on each electrical wire. This
information, in conjunction with data on FO-4 Dryer Wiring
Diagram, may be used to connect wires if tags are lost or illegible.
(6)
Feed wires of solenoid through elbow (4) and conduit (11); connect conduit (Para 2-56) to transformer box
and connect wires as tagged.
(7)
Install nonmetallic hoses (fuel lines) (Para 2-43).
(8)
Install transformer cover (Para 2-56).
