General Safety Instructions
WARNING
Voltage in this equipment is high enough
to cause serious injury or death. Do not
perform this task with power on.
a.
REMOVAL
(1)
Open control cover (18), unscrew nut (1) and remove cover (2) from base (7) of terminal box.
(2)
Unscrew two captive screws (3) and remove UV scanner (4) for access to base (7).
(3)
Tag two wires (6) connected to contacts S1 and S2 on base (7).
(4)
Loosen two screws (5) and remove tagged wires (6).
(5)
Unscrew nut (8) from box connector (10).
(6)
Remove gasket (9), box connector (10), seal (11), washer (12) and nut (13) from flame control (15).
(7)
Unscrew flame control (15) from burner assembly (16) and remove from dryer.
(8)
As required, remove installation sleeving (14).

REPAIR
Repair consists of replacing damaged or missing components of the flame control.
c.
INSTALLATION
(1)
Install heat shrink tubing (14) over replacement flame control (15) wires.
(2)
Position nut (13), washer (12), gasket (9), box connector (10) and seal (11) on wire end of flame
control (15).
(3)
Feed wires (6) of flame control (15) into control panel (17) and install nut (8).
NOTE
Wire numbers are stamped on each electrical wire. This information, in conjunction with data on
FO-4 Dryer Wiring Diagram, may be used to connect wires if tags are lost or illegible.
(4)
Connect wires (6) to terminal board of base (7) as tagged, using two screws (5).
(5)
Secure nut (13) to box connector (10) and install UV scanner (4) with two captive screws (3).
(6)
Position cover (2) on scanner (4), tighten nut (1) and close control cover (18).
