Front frame is heavy and may be awkward to

handle. Use correct lifting procedures to avoid
injury to personnel.
Equipment Condition
Right Beam removed (Para 2-15)
NOTE
Center Beam removed (Para 2-16)
Shims may be used to achieve 90° between front
Fire Extinguisher removed (Para 2-78)
frame and trailer if needed.
a.
REMOVAL
(1)
Remove nut (9), lockwasher (10) and bolt (11) from tarpaulin frame support (2) and Laundry Unit.
(2)
Support front frame (1) and remove twelve nuts (8), lockwashers (7), flat washers (6) and bolts (5).
(3)
Remove front frame (1) from Laundry Unit.
(4)
If required, remove tarpaulin frame support (2) from curb or street side or both. Remove nut (13),
lockwasher (12), spacer (3) and bolt (4) from front frame (1) and tarpaulin frame support (2).
b.
REPAIR
Repair consists of replacing damaged or missing components of the front frame (1).

INSTALLATION
(1)
If tarpaulin frame support(s) (2) were removed, install bolt (4), spacer (3), lockwasher (12) and
nut (13) on tarpaulin frame support (2) and front frame (1).
(2)
Position and support front frame (1) on Laundry Unit.
(3)
Install twelve bolts (5), flat washers (6), lockwashers (7) and nuts (8) on front frame (1) and
Laundry Unit.
(4)
Install bolt (11), lockwasher (10) and nut (9) on tarpaulin frame support (2) and Laundry Unit.
(5)
Install right beam (Para 2-15).
(6)
Install center beam (Para 2-16).
(7)
Install fire extinguisher (Para 2-78).
