2-19. REAR FRAME.

WARNING
Materials/Parts
Rear frame is heavy and may be awkward to handle.
Blind rivet nut (App C, Item 20)
Use correct lifting procedures to avoid injury to
personnel.
Personnel Required
Two (for removal and installation)
a.
REMOVAL
(1)
Remove nut (6), lockwasher (7) and bolt (11) from tarpaulin frame support (3) and Laundry Unit.
(2)
Support rear frame (1) and remove eight nuts (8), twelve lockwashers (9), flat washers (10) and
bolts (12).
(3)
Remove rear frame (1) from Laundry Unit.
(4)
If required, remove tarpaulin frame support (3) from curb or street side or both. Remove nut
(14), lockwasher (13), spacer (2) and bolt (4) from rear frame (1) and tarpaulin frame support (3).

REPAIR
NOTE
Shims may be used to achieve 90° between rear frame and trailer if needed.
Blind rivet nut(s) (5).
(a)
Remove blind rivet nut (5) using .50 drill bit.
(b)
Insert blind rivet nut (5) in hole of rear frame.
(c)
Set blind rivet nut (5) in place.
