CONTAINERIZED KITCHEN (WITH TRAILER)
UNIT MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
Sink Assembly Top Removal: To provide access for inspection and maintenance of the water
heater and the pump assembly, the top of the sink assembly can be removed.
NOTE
On some hand sink assemblies, the top is riveted in place and cannot be
removed. The steps below do not apply to assemblies with a riveted top.
To remove the sink assembly top, tag and disconnect the hot and cold water lines from the
faucet. Then remove the 14 screws that attach the top to the sink cabinet. Using two people,
carefully lift the top off the cabinet and set it aside, being careful not to damage the soap
dispenser or the drain connection on the bottom of the sink.
To reinstall the top, use two people to place it on the sink cabinet, making sure the soap
dispenser is toward the back (open) side of the cabinet. Reinstall the 14 screws. Reconnect
the hot and cold water lines to the faucet
Water Heater: See Figure 2. To replace the water heater, disconnect the power cord at the
bottom of the tank. Allow the water in the tank to cool, open the drain valve and drain the water
into an empty bucket or drain system. Remove the locking nuts from the mounting bracket at
the side of the sink assembly. Remove the supporting bracket under the water heater and lift
the water heater out of the sink assembly.
Remove and discard the curved bracket attached to the side of the replacement water heater.
Remove this same bracket from the side of the bad water heater and install it onto the
replacement water heater.
