Anchor, Snow
The aluminum snow anchor (Figure 5) is pounded or buried in the snow or earth with attachment points
for carabiners.

Ascender, Mechanical
The passive mechanical ascender (Figure 6) assists personnel moving up fixed lines by only sliding in one
direction on a rope. It accommodates ropes between 8 millimeters and 13 millimeters and has holes for
attaching carabiners, which enables attachment to a harness. Left- and right-handed versions prevent
accidental opening when using two side by side.
