Belay Device, Mountaineering
The aluminum belay device (Figure 9) is used to belay individual climbers from below and above, rappel
down rope, and belay two climbers from above.

Carabiner, Locking
The aluminum locking carabiner (Figure 10) is used to attach harnesses to anything and for attaching
anchors to rope systems. It has a gate-locking device to prevent accidental opening.
