Protector, Pick
1. Loosen the retention cord to its longest length by depressing the button at the end opposite the
protector (Figure 3).
2. Place the plastic protector over the pick of the axe.
3. Loop the retention cord over the end of the axe; then tighten.

Protector, Rope
Open the rope protector (Figure 4), insert the rope, close the protector, and then slide the protector to
desired location.

Protector, Spike
Place the plastic spike protector (Figure 5) over the spike of the axe until it snaps into place. The retention
cord is not used.
