Do not store water in the water storage bag in below freezing temperatures.
The water storage bag (13, fig. 2-1) is a soft, pliable, plastic bag which may be used
for storing water accumulated from rainfall or some other water source.
2-15. Plastic Spoon

The plastic spoon (14, fig. 2-1) is provided for use as a utensil when cooking or
eating survival rations. If used in cooking, insure the spoon is not placed near open
flame or hot metal. After use, clean and dry the spoon and store it in the original
wrapper.
2-16. Boat Bailer
2-16.
The boat bailer (16, fig. 2-1) is a 6-inch-diameter rubberized, cup-shaped device
which is used to remove seawater that may spill into your raft. The bailer is equipped
with a retaining lanyard which allows the bailer to be secured to the raft.
