Disassembly.
(1)
Remove the nut (1, fig. 3-6),
flatwashers (2), nut (3) and pipe support (4) from the
housing (33).
(2)
Remove the oil bayonet gage (5) and
gage rod plug (6) from the housing.
(3)
Remove the setscrew (7) securing the
wheel sprocket (8) and seal (9) to the straight shaft (20).
(4)
Remove
the
bolts
(10)
and
lockwashers (11) securing the housing cap (12) and
gasket (13) to housing (33).
(5)
Remove the straight shaft assembly
from the housing.
(6)
Pull the roller bearings (14 and 15)
from the straight shaft (20).
(7)
Remove the setscrew (16) securing
the gear (17) to the straight shaft.
(8)
Remove the keys (18 and 19) from
the straight shaft (20).
(9)
Remove bolts (21) and lockwashers
(22) securing the oil seal (23), bearing retainer (24) and
gasket (25).
(10) Remove the cap (26) and shaft
assembly (27) from the housing (33).
(11) Pull the bearings (28 and 29) from the
wormshaft (31).
(12) Remove the woodruff key (30).
(13) Remove the pipe plug (32) from the
housing (33).
