39. Use maintenance menu to test heating system. When flame can be seen through burner assembly sight
glass observe FP300.
Does FLAME indicator come on?
YES Return to normal operation.
NO Go to step 40.
40. Position SW2 then SW1 to OFF.
41. Unthread flame detector from burner assembly and inspected lens.
Is lens covered with soot?
YES Remove soot from lens with a soft clean wiping cloth. Go to step 43.
NO Go to step 42.
42. Remove sight tube from top of burner assembly and inspected.
Is sight tube coated with soot?
YES Remove soot sight tube. Go to step 44.
NO Go to step 43.
43. Reinstall sight tube into burner assembly.
44. Thread flame detector back into sight tube.
45. Position SW1 then SW2 to ON.
46. Press RESET switch on FP300.
47. Use maintenance menu to test heating system. When flame can be seen through burner assembly sight
glass observe FP300.
Does FLAME indicator come on?
YES Go to HEATER SMOKING FAULT (WP 0083 00).
NO Go to step 48.
48. Use maintenance menu to test heating system. When flame can be seen through burner assembly check
for > 4 VDC across (+) and (--) test points on flame detector amplifier.
Is >4 VDC present?
YES Replace flame programmer FP300 (WP 0185 00).
NO Go to step 49.
49. Check wire connections between flame detector and FP300.
Are connections OK?
YES Replace flame detector amplifier (WP 0187 00). Go to step 49.
NO Repair as necessary.
50. Use maintenance menu to test heating system. When flame can be seen through burner assembly check
for > 4 VDC across (+) and (--) test points on flame detector amplifier.
Is >4 VDC present?
YES Go to step 50.
NO Replace flame detector (WP 0184 00). Go to step 51.
