REPLACE
1.
Locate the battery door of the avalanche transceiver, and loosen screw (Figure 1).

2.
Remove all three batteries, and discard IAW unit SOP.
3.
Replace with three new AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring the positive and negative ends of the
batteries are properly aligned.
4.
Replace battery door, and tighten screw.
5.
Turn unit on to verify battery charge is over 20 percent. Turn off.
