c. Inspection.
(1) Inspect motor base and main drive base
assembly for cracks or breaks.
(2) Inspect threaded parts for thread
damage.
(3) Inspect guide rods for burrs, nicks, or
other damage.
(4) Inspect drive spring for cracked or
broken coils.
d. Repair.
(1) Weld cracks or breaks in main drive
base assembly or washer motor base and grind smooth.
(2) Replace other damaged or defective
parts as necessary.
e. Assembly.
(1) Install washer motor adjusting screw (28,
fig. 7-20) and nut (27) on washer motor base (22).
(2) Install jackshaft leveler (25) on main
drive base (26) with washer (24) and nut (23).
(3) Install belt guard mounting brackets (21)
to washer base (22) with washers (20) screws (19),
washers (18), and nuts (17).
(4) Secure motor base guide (16) to washer
base with screws (15).
(5) Position assembled motor base in place
on main drive base (26) and install guide rod (14).
(6) Install drive spring retainer (13), drive
spring (12) and motor guide rod (11) on main drive
base.
(7) Secure motor guide rod (11) with nut
(10) and setscrew (9).
(8) Install ball joint (8) to main base
assembly.
(9) Position air cylinder (7) in place and
secure with plug (6), straight pin (5) and cotter pin (4).
f. Installation.
(1) Install assembled washer and extractor
motor base (3, fig. 7-20) to the washer-extractor frame
with washers (2) and bolts (1).
(2) Refer to paragraph 7-10 and install
washer drive jackshaft assembly.
(3) Refer to paragraph 7-9 and install the
extractor motor and hydro sheave.
(4) Refer to paragraph 7-8 and install
washer motor and drive belts.
(5) Refer to Th. 10-3510-208-12, adjust
belts and install guards
