REMOVAL
WARNING
Distillate piping can reach temperatures near 200o F when the water recycle system is
operating. Allow piping to cool prior to performing maintenance. Always wear gloves and
eye protection. Failure to follow this precaution could result in severe burn injuries.
1. Disengage two latches (1), then open access door (2).
2. Open eight petcocks (3) on subcooler (4). Allow water to drain then close pectocks.
3. Loosen clamp (5) then pull hose (6) off of evaporative cooler (7).
4. Loosen clamp (8) then pull hose (9) off of piping (10).
5. Loosen clamp (11) then pull hose (12) off of bottom of subcooler (4).
6. Loosen clamp (13) then pull hose (14) off of top of subcooler (4).
7. Remove inlet screen (15) from subcooler (4).
8. Remove four screws (16), lock washers (17), and flat washers (18), then remove evaporative cooler (7) from
frame (19).
9. Loosen clamp (20) securing piping (21) to distillate frame (22).
10. Loosen clamp (23) then pull hose (24) off of piping (25).
11. Remove two screws (26), lock washers (27), and flat washers (28), then remove two retaining plates (29) from
frame (19).
12. Remove four screws (30), lock washers (31), and flat washers (32), then remove subcooler (4) from frame
(19).
13. Remove eight petcocks (3) from subcooler (4).
14. Clean pipe thread sealant from threads of petcocks (3).
