DISTILLATE PUMP REPLACEMENT -- Continued

INSTALLATION
1. Apply pipe thread sealant to threads hose barb (21), nipple (30), and elbow (31).
2. Thread hose barb (21), nipple (30), and elbow (31) into new distillate pump (20).
3. Remove two screws (26) and cover (27) from junction box (28) on distillate pump (20).
4. Insert electrical wires (6) into junction box (28) then install conduit nut (29).
5. Connect electrical wires (6) inside junction box (28) as tagged.
6. Install cover (27) onto junction box (28) then secure with two screws (26).
7. Mate mounting plate (18) to distillate pump (20) then secure with four screws (23), flat washers (24), and nuts
(25).
8. Position distillate pump (20) under distillate frame (19) and align union (12).
9. Slide hose (14) onto hose barbs (21 and 22).
10. Install, but do not tighten four screws (15), lock washers (16) and flat washers (17).
11. Apply pipe thread sealant to mating surfaces of union (12).
12. Connect and tighten union (12).
13. Tighten clamps (13) on hose (14).
14. Tighten screws (15) to secure mounting plate (18) to distillate frame (19).
15. Insert electrical wires (6) into main control enclosure (3) then install insulating bushing (9) and conduit nut (10).
16. Connect electrical wires (6) to relay (7) and ground bar TB3 (8) as tagged.
17. Install cover (4) onto wire duct (5).
18. Close door (2) on main control enclosure (3) then tighten eleven latches (1).
19. Open petcock (11).
20. Start a HEAT WATER operation (TM 10--3510--221--10) then perform the following:
a. Observe petcock (11). When water starts flowing out of petcock, close petcock.
b. Observe distillate pump (20) when pump turns on verify there are no water leaks at union (12) or hose (13).
c. Using maintenance menu EXAMINE INPUTS (WP 0010 00) observe standpipe level LT201.
d. Verify that distillate pump (20) comes when LT201 level is about 16 inches.
e. Verify that within five minutes LT201 level drops to 3 inches at least once.
