The heel-raise device can be used on steep climbs to reduce lower leg muscle strain.
4. If heel-raise device is desired, pull on tab (Figure 3, Item 1) until it snaps into place vertically.

1. If heel-raise device was in use, pull on tab (Figure 3, Item 1) until it snaps into place horizontally.
2. Disengage all four straps from the metal posts, and loosen until boot can be removed. Remove boot.
3. If desired, detach the 8-inch tail as follows:
a. Loosen knob (Figure 1, Item 1) until it stops turning.
b. Disengage posts by pulling tail away from snowshoe.
