REMOVAL
NOTE
Procedures for removing water pump A and B are the same except where noted.
To ensure proper clearance between drum and ISO frame, rear air bags must be inflated
before removing water pump.
1. Open petcock (1). Allow water to drain from water pump (2) then close petcock.
2. For pump A: loosen four latches (3), then remove cover (4) from junction box (5). For pump B: remove two
screws (6) then remove cover (7) and gasket (8) from outlet body (9).
3. Tag and disconnect wiring for water pump (2).
4. Loosen conduit nut (10), then pull conduit (11) and wiring from of junction box (5) for pump B, or outlet body (9)
for pump A.
5. Loosen clamps (12) on coupling (13) then slide coupling over nipple (14).
6. Loosen clamp (15) then pull outlet hose (16) from pump (2).
7. Remove two screws (17), lock washers (18), and flat washers (19).
8. Lift water pump (2) out of of ISO frame (20).
9. Remove four screws (21), then remove cover (22) and gasket (23) from junction box (24).
10. Tag and disconnect wiring at junction box (24).
11. Remove conduit nut (25), then pull conduit fitting (26) and wiring out of junction box (24).
12. Unthread petcock (1) from water pump (2).
13. Unthread hex bushing (27) from water pump (2).
14. Unthread nipple (14) from water pump (2).
15. Clean thread sealant from threads of petcock (1), nipple (14), and hex bushing (27).
