CONTAINERIZED KITCHEN (WITH TRAILER)
UNIT MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
5. Position the mounting strip on top of the fabric beginning at one end of the shelter and
extending to the center of the shelter. When you are installing the mounting strip, position
the fabric so that the fabric edge extends inch past the mounting strip.
6. Start in the center of the shelter and use an awl to push several holes in the fabric. Start the
screws in the holes after the holes have been punched. Do not tighten screws until all holes
in the fabric have been punched and screws started. Continue to the end of the mounting
strip. Make sure that the fabric is not bunched-up or overlapped. Reposition the fabric if
necessary.
7. Install the second mounting strip next to the strip already installed. Following the same
procedures for securing the previous mounting strip, continue to the end of the shelter.
Securely tighten all screws in both mounting strips.
8.
Stretch the fabric over the curved corner plate at the end top of the shelter. Repeat the
procedure to attach the curved mounting plate at the opposite end of the shelter.
9. Repeat the procedure for attaching the fabric and mounting strips and continue down the
both ends of the shelter. Make sure that the fabric is not bunched-up or overlapped.
Reposition the fabric if necessary. Any excess fabric should end up in the bottom corner of
the shelter where the wing is hinged.
10.
Unroll the rest of the fabric and pull out over the long edge of the shelter wing. Center the
long portion of the fabric edge along this long edge of the wing. Align the center mark on the
fabric with the center arch cup on the wing. Position the mounting strip on top of the fabric
beginning at the either end of the shelter wing and extending to the center of the wing.
11.
The fabric should only touch the edge of the rubber weather strip along the length of the
wing edge. Unlike all the other shelter mounting surfaces, the fabric should not extend past
the mounting strip on the wing edge, because it will interfere with the weather stripping.
12.
Start in the center of the shelter and use an awl to push several holes in the fabric. Start the
screws in the holes after the hole has been punched. Make sure that the fabric is not
bunched-up or overlapped. Any excess fabric should end up in the corner of the shelter
where the wing is hinged. Reposition the fabric, if necessary.
13.
Repeat the procedure for positioning the fabric and mounting strip for the opposite end of
the wing. Securely tighten all screws in both mounting strips.
14.
Repeat the procedure for attaching the fabric and the mounting strips along either of the
short edges of the wing. Start at the corner of the wing where the fabric is already attached.
Again make sure that the fabric is not bunched-up or overlapped. Any excess fabric should
end up in the corner of the shelter where the wing is hinged. Repeat the process on the
other end of the wing.
15.
Check that all fabric mounting hardware has been properly installed and all screws
tightened.
