Protectors, Spike
The spike protectors (Figure 24) are designed to protect the spike of the Axe, Ice Type I/II/III from
damaging other equipment from scrapes or cuts.

Pulley, Mountaineering
The mountaineering pulley (Figure 25) is used to reduce friction in mechanical advantage systems. It
allows for smooth and rapid ascent or descent.
