Rope Cutter, Electric
The electric rope cutter (Figure 26) heats to 1200F. It cuts and heat seals up to a 1-inch nylon rope in
less than 10 seconds. It uses standard 110 volts, 165 watts, 1.5 amps. It has a 5.5-foot grounded cord
and comes with pre-drilled holes for mounting to a bench. It also has a spare cutting blade.

Rope, Kernmantle, 7-millimeter (Accessory Cord, Army Use)
Nylon, semi-static kernmantle rope (Figure 27) is primarily used to form anchors around trees and rocks
and as a cord for friction knots. It is usually cut in 15-foot sections using an electric rope cutter.
